Description

Located in the Royal Naval Dockyard, Dockyard Brewing Company is Bermuda’s oldest microbrewery and one of the easiest places to try locally made beer during your trip. The brewery sits just behind the iconic Frog & Onion Pub, inside a 250-year-old stone warehouse, which gives the whole experience a distinctly historic feel.

Everything is brewed on-site in small batches, with a traditional British-style approach. That means smoother, more naturally carbonated beers rather than the heavily fizzy styles you might be used to. Their lineup includes a mix of lagers, ales and darker brews, and if you’re unsure where to start, the sampler is the way to go so you can try a bit of everything.

The setting is a big part of the appeal. You can grab a drink and relax in the beer garden overlooking a historic naval yard, or pair your beer with a full meal next door at the pub. It’s a popular stop for both cruise visitors and anyone exploring the West End, especially if you’re already in the area checking out museums and shops.

If you’re curious about how it all comes together, they also offer brewery tours, giving you a behind-the-scenes look at how Bermuda’s longest-running craft brewery does things.
