The Pickled Onion

A long-running Front Street staple, the Pickled Onion has been a go-to in Hamilton since 1998, known for its upscale casual food and lively atmosphere. After a full renovation in 2018, the space has a more modern, cosmopolitan feel while still keeping the energy that made it popular in the first place.

The menu mixes local favorites like Bermuda fish chowder and wahoo with crowd-pleasers like tacos and pasta, all served consistently well. It’s also known for its cocktail program and one of the largest waterfront patios in Hamilton, overlooking the harbour—making it just as much about the setting as the food.
